2009 Awarded funds from Becta to lead the Impact2009 evaluation (£107,000)

2007 Awarded funds from Becta to lead the Web 2.0 at Key Stage 3 and 4 evaluation (£330,000)

2006 Awarded funds (with Elizabeth Hartnell-Young from Becta/DfES to evaluate the impact on school achievement of the use of e-portfolios (£51,000)

2006 Economic and Social Research Council Seminar Award (co-applicant, with Kathy Hall and Usha Goswami): Pedagogy and Curriculum in Early Reading: multidisciplinary perspectives (£14,000)

2000-2003 Awarded contract to carry out the ImpaCT2 evaluation for BECTa/DfEE in a consortium led by the University of Nottingham with Manchester Metropolitan University and the Open University (£303,000)
