Fields of expertise

Digital and multimodal discourse analysis, Digital multiliteracies, Language teaching, Teacher education

I have been a lecturer in Language Education at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid since 2018. My work on literacy focuses on preparing pre-service teachers in both first and second language instruction for early childhood and primary education.

My research interests also include digital multiliteracies, digital and multimodal discourse, and discourse analysis in the context of language, foreign language, and language education. I am currently conducting two separate lines of research: one on TikTok and its implications for multiliteracies, and another on the use of generative AI in the context of university teaching.
