I. Mother Child Education Foundation

 1. Basic and more advanced literacy and numeracy program

Durgunoğlu, A.Y., Oney, B., & Kuscul, H.  (1995).  Functional adult literacy program.

[This program was implemented in 17 provinces in Turkey and had reached about 150,000 participants, mostly women, who had no/minimal schooling because of economic and cultural hardships.

This program won the UNESCO King Sejong Literacy award in 2005; the emPOWER award in 2013 and US Library of Congress International Literacy Prize in 2014.
